Today was my birthday, and today I recieved the adsoulute best birthday gift a girl could ask for...a new PUPPY! I would like to officially introduce Superior Mastiffs Guardian of the Sea "Poseidon" I would like to say a special thank you to Deb & Willie Kraft for trusting us with such a special boy!
Mr. Bigs (Bocephus) had a blast at the Bark in the Park in Clearwater last Saturday! He made a ton of new friends at the event. However, I believe that the highlight of his trip to the ballpark was lounging in the pool watching the game...or maybe it was the cheeseburgers...
Bocephus and Hooch participated in the 8th annual PAWS Mutt Strut yesterday. This event is to benefit homeless and unwanted dogs and cats in the Philadelphia area. Bocephus and Hooch proud to announce that together they raised $105 dollars in a week! They along with all the homeless animals in Philadelphia would like to thank everyone who helped them reach this goal.
Even though the day was a damp and rainy day we still had a fun filled day and got to see and make a lot of new friends.

The boys had a lovely trip to Grandpa and Grandma Master's house this weekend. We are going to have to do it again soon! ;-)
While poor Hooch was home recuperating from his surgery, the rest of the family went out to enjoy a day of sunshine! It has been so long since we have seen the sun. What a wonderful day. It was very cool to see the new Navy Ship Summerset. We can't wait for spring to do more of this!

This week marked the start of a new feeding adventure for the Master Family. I have started to feed both of the boys a raw diet.
To start this adventure on Monday evening we all went by one of the local butcher shops. We picked out some chicken and steak for the boys. We we got home the real fun began, preparing all of that meat (and of course some veggies too). Of course while I was doing this the boys were anxiously waiting for their new (yummy) dinner.
It was a huge hit to say the least, the boys are loving this new diet. So far I am really enjoying preparing their meals (and knowing where it came from). Furthermore, I am happy to report that Bocephus (Boe) has done wonderfully on this new diet; because he has been eating more regularly (2 full meals a day) he has already gained 5lbs! YAY.
I am looking forward to our future adventures with this new diet. Back to the butcher on Monday evening...
For anyone who might be interested in the raw diet menus I can post some of the ones that we have tried from time to time.
Have a great week guys!
